Patient Experience Volunteer
Visit patients and ensure they are aware of the various services and amenities available to them during their hospital stay. Volunteers require additional training and work very closely with the Patient Experience Team.

Nutrition Volunteer
Visit designated patients to encourage food intake. Offer support and company during meals. Assist patients with meal trays (open cartons, cut meat). Assist with feeding patients that have no swallowing precautions. Assemble Wound Care discharge bags and restock bags on the patient care unit. Clothing Closet
The clothing closet is a room designated for donated clothing for patients. Many patients do not have access to clothing for when they leave the hospital. We rely on volunteers to help sort and organize the clothing; and to assist in re-donating unsuitable clothing to the local thrift shop.

Break Rooms
As part of a wellness initiative, Swedish Hospital is creating numerous comfortable break rooms for staff. Periodically we are looking for volunteers to help assemble book cases and set up the break rooms so they have a “homey” feel.
Since this volunteer opportunity is not ongoing (weekly), it should be combined with another volunteer position.
